7 Areas of Focus

The seven areas of focus for Rotary International are: Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy, Community Economic Development, and Protecting the Environment. These areas guide humanitarian efforts and global grants worldwide.

• 1. Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution

  Strengthening local peace efforts, training leaders to mediate conflict, and supporting peace-building initiatives in Richmond City Park and beyond.

• 2. Disease Prevention and Treatment

  Reducing the spread of diseases like polio, HIV/AIDS, and malaria through education, healthcare initiatives, and public awareness campaigns.

• 3. Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene

  Ensuring access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene through sustainable local projects, including community education and collaboration.

• 4. Maternal and Child Health

  Reducing maternal and child mortality by providing quality healthcare, mentoring programs, and essential medical services.
